What to Expect

At Lanier Lions Cheer, your child will engage in practices where they'll acquire cheers, chants, and basic stunting skills. These skills will be showcased as the squads support Lanier Lion Football teams at Saturday games. Additionally, cheerleaders will learn a competition routine, encompassing dance, cheer, tumbling, stunts, and jumps throughout the season. They'll have the opportunity to perform this routine at the Annual End of Season Competition, Cheer Bowl, scheduled for November 3.

Off Season Workouts

The Lanier Lions Football and Cheer Association is pleased to offer Off-Season Workouts, included in your registration! These sessions, focusing on conditioning, speed, and agility, are open to all grade levels and everyone interested. Workouts will be held up to 3 days a week for 2 hours, led by our dedicated volunteer coaches and Board members. Join us as we enhance skills and foster teamwork during the off-season. More details about schedule to come!

Practice Time Commitment

Required practices take place up to 3 times a week at Lanierland Park, each session lasting up to 1.5 hours. Specific practice schedules are yet to be determined.

Football Game Schedule

Forsyth County will annually create a schedule of regular-season games, which will be published and distributed no later than one week before the first game. All regular scheduled games will take place at locations determined by Forsyth County.

Following the regular season, the county will develop a playoff schedule. The playoff process will lead to two teams in each grade level competing in the annual "Lanier Bowl," representing the season championship.
